I felt like this painting was kind of like looking at a cloud or curling smoke. Simple, peaceful and beautiful.

It’s very rare that I see an abstract painting that is titled exactly what I see. In this case this piece reminds me of a cold day at sea.

Not crazy about this piece but it does keep your eye busy.

Marc Quinn – Flesh Painting (on Desire)
Sometimes in the state of art that we are in, it is nice to see that people are really talented. This is oil on canvas.

Paul McCarthy – Balloon Dog
Ode to Jeff Koons’ balloon animals. Personally I find it odd to copy someone else’s ideas.
 

Josiah McElheny – Frozen Structure
Reminded me of a starburst or satellite.
Chrome plated aluminium, hand-blown and molded glass, electric lighting and rigging.

Alexandre da Cunha – Mix (Americana)
This is a found cement mixer put on wooden blocks. The design of it is definitely interesting but does it warrant praise? I’m not sure.


Darren Almond – INFINITE BETWEENS:Really Between
There is something about this C-print that called to me. Though with all the overlapping it kind of makes me dizzy.

Mathieu Mercier – Untitled
Not a complicated concept but really well done.
